This course provides students with the essential knowledge and hands-on experience required to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot modern server environments. Emphasizing both Windows and Linux server platforms, the course explores key topics such as hardware setup, user and permission management, network configuration, virtualization, server security, and system maintenance. Students will gain practical skills through real-world scenarios and lab exercises, preparing them for roles in IT infrastructure, system administration, and technical support.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Understand server fundamentals – including server types, roles, and operating systems (Windows Server and Linux).
Install and configure server operating systems on both physical and virtual machines.
Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions using both GUI tools and command-line interfaces.
