Job Overview |
Performing skilled, journey-Level mechanical repair and maintenance work on large diesel-powered vehicles and equipment; providing writing documentation of repair meet district, and state and federal requirements; and ensuring compliance with KSA regulations. Ability to work without supervision making servicing and giving feedback to the superior in good time. |
Responsibilities and Duties |
§ Analyses vehicles computer-related systems for purpose of diagnosing computer system component and providing needed repairs. § Diagnoses mechanical defects on gasoline and diesel powered, haul trucks fire apparatus, excavators, earth moving and other mechanical equipment for the purpose of determining needed vehicle repairs and/or replacements. § Fabricate braces, fittings, and parts for the purpose of providing repair or retrofit parts. § Maintains shop area, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability and proper functioning of equipment. § Assist ordering of parts and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items as needed. § Performs minor body repairs for the purpose of maintaining appearance and safe operation of vehicles. § Fills work order/prepares documentation for the purpose of trucking labour and parts information to comply with regulation guidance. § Reads, understands, and applies electrical and hydraulic schematics for the purpose of performing needed repairs / replacements within specifications. § Repairs vehicle systems / equipment / components, etc. /e.g. fuel systems, engines, wheel loader tractors, backhoes, dump trucks, trailers, smog checks, adjust/repair/replaces/ overhauls transmissions bearing, ignitions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, differentials drive trains, steering, suspensions, cylinders, body work, etc./ for the purpose of maintaining vehicles in a safe and attractive manner. § Replaces defective vehicle parts or systems for the purpose of ensuring the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition. § Responds to emergency call for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. § Other tasks assigned by Management. |

Education Level: Technical level | Years of Experience: 4 |
Specific Skills / Competencies § Collage or related tradesman school certificate. § 4 years’ work experience in related field (must be worked on CAT / Sandvik machines) § Team player. § Excellent verbal and visual communication skills. § Must have valid state driver’s license with heavy & light duty class is preferred § Caterpillar experience is a must § Must have previous mining experience open pit | |
